Smile Dental Clinic, Great Yarmouth

Dental hygienist in Great Yarmouth

Regular hygiene visits are one of the simplest ways to look after your teeth and gums. Our hygiene appointments complement your care at home with a professional clean and a close look at your gum health.

Your hygienist removes plaque, tartar and other irritants from your teeth and from the root surfaces just under the gums. Polishing then leaves your teeth feeling smooth.

What a hygiene visit can do

  • Remove plaque and tartar for healthier gums
  • Help prevent gum disease and bad breath
  • Remove surface stains
  • Personal advice and recommendations for cleaning between your teeth
  • Hygienists are trained to look out for early signs of oral cancer and other concerns

Meet Sarah, our dental hygienist/therapist

Sarah qualified in dental hygiene and therapy at King's College in 2009, after working as a dental nurse. She worked for several years at BUPA Dental Practice on Gorleston High Street before opening Smile Dental Clinic.

Sarah provides professional cleaning, gum disease treatment and practical advice on brushing, cleaning between teeth and everyday habits. Alongside our hygiene service, our dentist, Dr Amaka Ngwuocha, provides general and restorative dental care.
