Tooth extraction near Great Yarmouth, Gorleston and Lowestoft
Sometimes a tooth needs to be removed because of severe decay, damage, gum disease or overcrowding. Removing a problem tooth can help stop infection and improve your oral health.
Many extractions can be done on the day. If an x-ray shows the extraction will be more complex, we'll rebook you for a longer appointment, usually within a couple of days and sometimes later the same day. Our dentist can also remove impacted or partially erupted wisdom teeth.

Why a tooth may need removing
- Severe decay that can't be repaired with a filling or crown
- Advanced gum disease that has loosened a tooth
- A tooth that is broken beyond repair
- Overcrowding, or to prepare for orthodontic treatment
- Impacted wisdom teeth causing pain or problems
Your comfort
We know the idea of an extraction can be daunting. We use a numbing gel followed by local anaesthetic so the area is numb before we begin, and we explain each step as we go.
If you're nervous, please tell us when you book. We'll take things at your pace.
Extraction fees
Front tooth extractions are £200, premolars £250 and molars £300. If you're in pain, our £80 emergency appointment includes the examination and any x-rays needed, and we can often remove the tooth at the same visit.
