Meet the team
Smile Dental Clinic is a private dental clinic based in the heart of Hopton-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth.
Our ethos is simple. We extend the same level of care to you as we would to our own family.
Our practice is led by Sarah Godbolt, our practice owner and dental hygienist/therapist, and our dentist Dr Amaka Ngwuocha, who each bring 24 years of experience in dentistry. Sarah's knowledge, professionalism and approachable nature help every patient feel welcome and supported from the moment they walk through the door.
Together, the practice provides general and restorative dentistry, including crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures and root canal treatment. Sarah has experience treating gum disease and welcomes direct access hygiene appointments if you have a dentist elsewhere.
Dr Amaka Ngwuocha

Dr Amaka Ngwuocha is our dentist, with 24 years of experience in dentistry. She provides general and restorative dental care at Smile Dental Clinic.
Sarah Godbolt
Dental Hygienist/Therapist and Owner
Sarah founded Smile Dental Clinic and leads the practice, bringing 24 years of experience in dentistry. She began her career as a dental nurse for five years, then qualified in dental hygiene and therapy at King's College in 2009.
She worked for several years at BUPA Dental Practice on Gorleston High Street before opening her own clinic. Seeing how the pandemic affected access to dental care in Norfolk motivated her to create a friendly, relaxed and caring practice in Hopton.
Sarah has experience treating gum (periodontal) disease and welcomes direct access hygiene appointments for patients who have a dentist elsewhere.
