Composite bonding in Hopton and Great Yarmouth

Small chips, gaps or uneven teeth can make you feel less confident about your smile. Composite bonding uses tooth-coloured resin to make carefully planned changes to the shape and look of your teeth.

Every smile is different, so we start with a personal assessment. We welcome patients from Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Bradwell and Belton, and explain your options before any treatment.

Could bonding help?

  • Chipped teeth: restore the outline of a small chip
  • Small gaps: discuss whether bonding or orthodontics would suit you
  • Uneven or short teeth: explore modest changes to shape
  • Worn edges: we assess the cause of wear first
  • Existing bonding: ask about polishing, repair or replacement

What is composite bonding?

Your dentist adds a carefully chosen shade of composite resin directly to the tooth to refine its shape, repair a small chip or close a suitable small gap.

Edge bonding focuses on the biting edges, while composite veneers cover more of the front of the tooth. The right approach depends on your dental health, your bite and your goals.

Is bonding right for everyone?

No. We check your gums, the condition of your teeth and your bite, and explain alternatives such as orthodontics or veneers where they may be more suitable.

Common questions

How much does bonding cost?

It depends on how many teeth are involved, the changes planned and any dental work needed first. We give you a personal treatment plan and quote before you decide.

Are payment options available?

Ask our team about the payment options currently available, including interest-free finance for treatment plans (subject to approval). We'll explain the fees before you decide.

Bonding or veneers?

Bonding can target a small area, while a veneer covers more of the tooth. Composite and porcelain differ in preparation, appearance, maintenance and cost. Your dentist will talk you through the trade-offs.

How long does bonding last?

Bonding isn't permanent. How long it lasts depends on your bite, oral hygiene and habits. Composite can stain, chip or wear, and may need polishing, repair or replacement over time.

Can existing bonding be repaired?

Often, yes. We can assess chipped, stained or worn bonding and advise whether polishing, an addition, a repair or replacement is best.

Aftercare and prevention

  • Avoid biting nails, pens or hard objects with bonded teeth
